The Data Science Institute at Columbia University Launches New Website

Constructive is excited to announce the launch of The Data Science Institute (DSI) at Columbia University’s new website—on Data Science Day, no less! The mission of DSI is to “train the next generation of data scientists, develop innovative technology, and foster collaborations to address pressing societal problems.” As such, our vision for the new DSI site was to create a state-of-the-art hub that reflects their innovative approach, expertise, and programming and empowers students, researchers, and the media to put data to good use. 

Through content strategy, information architecture, development, and testing, we set out to create a digital experience that matches the breadth and depth of what DSI represents and facilitates. As with any higher education partnership, visual design needed to work within the university’s brand guidelines and reflect a professional, trustworthy organization.  

We’re honored to continue to call Columbia a partner (we’ve worked with them in the past!) and are excited to see what DSI’s new site will help them achieve. Stay tuned for our soon-to-launch data visualization tool for their many projects and faculty members.
