Constructive Branding and Research Report Design for Frameworks and AASLH Partnership: Reframing History

We’re so proud to announce that we have designed the brand, report, and toolkit for a brand new partnership between Frameworks Institute and The American Association for State and Local History, Reframing History. Reframing History is comprised of a landmark research report on how Americans understand and communicate about our national history, and a toolkit with evidence-backed communications recommendations on discussing the past. We’re thankful for our continued partnership with Frameworks, and to be part of bringing this landmark research to the public.

More About Reframing History

Born from a partnership between Frameworks Institute and The American Association for State and Local History, Reframing History is a project created to spark discussion on how we can create more productive public discussion about American History. Discussion about history is often diluted to what some believe are “objective truths” but Reframing History exhibits the importance of incorporating new diverse perspectives and evidence so we can better understand our past, and move forward. The project is comprised of both a comprehensive research report and an actionable toolkit for communicators.

About Frameworks Institute

Established in 1999, Frameworks Institute is a nonprofit research think tank that supports mission-driven organizations to communicate about complex social issues in a way that not only supports change, but encourages it. Using their own process, Strategic Frame Analysis, Frameworks approaches important and complex social issues with empirical activities that are practical and consistent; delivering results in reports that break down the science and create understanding among an audience of social science professionals, social impact and nonprofit professionals, and readers beyond these groups.

About The American Association for State and Local History

The American Association for State and Local History (AASLH), established in the early 1900s, is a national membership association committed to the preservation and discussion of American state and local history. The AASLH serves as leadership to more than 5,500 members, both institutional and individual, to connect and grow history networks.
